James is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya [2021], having obtained his LL.B. (Honours) from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and his Post Graduate Diploma in Law at the Kenya School of Law.

James brings to Bryant’s Law LLP significant experience in both private law and pro bono/charity work. He employs an innovative approach to developing and applying tailor made legal solutions aimed at achieving company or organizational growth for his clients, all the while driven by his passion for the law.

James provides legal advisory and consultancy services to a number of companies in Kenya. With experience in the public private partnership space, James’ solid portfolio in company law includes drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, joint venture and consortium agreements, employment contracts and NDAs. He has a keen understanding of procurement and regulatory matters, and proficiency in conducting research.

James also acts for indigent clients in conflict with the law, and sits on the board or volunteers for numerous civil society / community-based organizations including church groups, advising on governance and compliance, developing digital presence and social media strategies, and resource mapping and mobilization. James co-founded a legal fellowship involving fifteen lawyers offering free legal aid services in Nairobi, and has lead or contributed to various teams to develop and deliver public legal education campaigns.

In his free time James enjoys singing, listening to music, long drives and working out at the gym.
